New bug...

These are the few bugs that i managed to capture on early morning at my parent house.. They are less active during early morning which make manupulation easier.

Jumping spider

I've discovered jumping spiders in my inlaw's backyard. They are small and agile, so its like playing hide & seek with them. With luck and extreme patient, i manage to capture few pictures of them (many were out of focus).. I'm using flash, with aperture of f11 & 1/200s exposure.. That's my combo setting for now..

Beach view getaway

After 2 long weeks of work, i can finally take a deep breath during last weekend. I took the opportunity to bring my family to a resort in terengganu (after weeks of planning). It's a nice place to relax, especially at night when u can hear the sound of sea waves hitting the shore as u close ur eyes shifting to hibernate state... I just want to share several pictures that i took over there..

Macro testing.. 1.. 2.. 3..

Spent a few moment of my time trying out a new macro lens.. Quite challenging to control the depth of field & to hold still.. Need to learn/ practice more.. and most important thing, be patient... hehe...

This is my first car. Being driving it for 6 years, it tought me a lot about driving.. It even saved my life few times during my early inexperienced driving years (thanks to lotus handling and super-gripped michellin tyres..). Though i love it very much, the time has come for us to be apart.. My family is more important right now, yup...time to change to be a family man..

Macro continues...

Finally i got some free time to hold my camera again... This time is at my parent house... Photos were shot under bright afternoon subshine since i didnt have any specific flash for macro.. I'm using 100mm macro lens, so the magnification is 1:1. For close-up shots of the ants, i had to open the lens hood, otherwise it will block the sunlight from my subjects.. Really had trouble to catch the red dragonflies in the viewfinder, they easily get nervous when being approached..

Mangrove visits...

While waiting for fasting break, i managed to slot my time to visit a nearby mangrove river... Luckily i brought along my CPL filter which enable me to capture the cloud formations...

An evening at the river bank...

Took my wife for a drive to town last weekend and we decided to stopby near a river bank... Nothing much to see except the sunset (though it's still early, at 5.30pm). I think it's time to put up a test for my CPL and ND400 filter.. So here it goes...

Unplanned appointment..

While enjoying dukus that i bought earlier today, i came across this little fruit bug... So without further delay, i took out my 5D, attached it with a 100mm macro lens, plus an extension tube and the fun begins... It took a lot of patient to wait for the exact moment to capture it, but i think it's worth it. Meet my friend, mr fruit bug :)
